Trialling Forage Shrubs Plantations Around Waikerie

Funding organisation: South Australian Murray-Darling Basin Natural Resource Management Board

The objective of the project was to trial forage shrubs for better grazing management and improved ground cover in dryland mixed crop-livestock farming systems. MSF followed up on the Forage Shrub Trial, established a demonstration trial and after shrub establishment evaluated shrub growth, feed on offer and animal performance. The project included a farmer field day.
